Two Waza NY Players Team Up with Michigan Waza FC West to Win the 2009 Hamburg Invitational Soccer tournament on August 9-10

Two long-time WAZA players, Donovan Baird and Jason Yahn, traveled to Michigan to play in the 2009 Hamburg Invitational Soccer tournament on August 9-10. Coach LaMarr Peters arranged for the boys to be guest players on the Michigan WAZA FC West team competing in the U14/U15 boys division and coached by Ryan Mallard. After going undefeated in the preliminary round with scores of 3-1, 4-0, and 4-1, the team advanced to the championship game against a team from the Chicago International Soccer Club, also undefeated in preliminary play. WAZA won the championship game in overtime, 4-3.
